Dr. Anna Lang is an internationally recognized earthquake engineer who has worked for 17 years at the intersection of industry, academia, and technology. She is an expert on non-engineered structures and has worked on pre-disaster planning and post-disaster recovery projects around the world. Dr. Lang proudly serves on FEMA’s National Advisory Council and is a member of the Federal Insurance and Mitigation subcommittee. She is acting chair of the Structural Resilience Committee of SEAOC and a member of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute’s Public Policy and Advocacy Committee.

Dr. Lang recently founded Zylient, a technology and consulting company that utilizes advanced technologies for disaster response and mitigation planning. She earned her Ph.D. in structural engineering from UC San Diego and was awarded an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Fellowship in remote sensing by the Central Intelligence Agency.
